We tried to make the most of our Saturday afternoons in the summer since Sunday is a work day for Richie. One Saturday we spent the day downtown. We ate at the famous Arcade restaurant, rode the trolley around downtown, and got some ice cream.
Another Saturday, we took a family bike ride on the Memphis Greenline. Margaret wasn't quite old enough to keep up on her bike with training wheels. Griffin also decided not to use his brakes for a little while that day, and he had a very memorable stop!
The following Saturday we went bowling with Uncle Spencer, Aunt Jenny, Simon and Sullivan. It was so much fun. I loved the tiny little bowling shoes. Margaret kept dropping her ball into other lanes, so we became very familiar with the bowling alley attendants.
Afterwards we went to Jerry's for our favorite snow cones.
Some random things we did in July were: making gak with Griffin, going to the Children's Museum, playing in the sprinkler, Griffin's special dinner (grilled salmon), making play-dough with Margaret, and Margaret's special dinner (chicken tenders and corn).
The last week in July we went to Pickwick Lake in TN. A family that goes to our church let us borrow their lake house. It was a great relaxing family time before the craziness of school started.
