Funbrella

This week Margaret and I had some one-on-one time doing a craft together.  She chose to make her Funbrella umbrella with me.  We had good quality time and some precious conversations while working on it.  It looks like she will get to use it a lot this weekend!

Mary Poppins

For the girls' birthday gifts, I took them to see the Mary Poppins musical at the Orpheum this weekend.  It was a fun show, and we all really enjoyed it.

Valentine's Day 2012

We enjoyed our Valentine's day as a family yesterday.  We started off the day with a pancake breakfast. I also made the kids a fun heart themed lunch to take to school.

I helped at Griffin and Margaret's school parties yesterday (Mamie's class just exchanged cards).  I made heart rice crispy treats for Margaret's party and heart sugar cookies for Griffin's class to decorate.

And for dinner, I had some more fun with hearts by making a heart themed pizza!

Hiking

On a Sunday afternoon earlier this month, we went hiking on a trail on the Wolf River Greenway with the Thompsons.  It was a warmer day, and it was fun to be outside "exploring" with friends.

King Cake Breakfast 2013

We had our king cake breakfast for Fat Tuesday again yesterday.

Margaret was right last year in her predictions...This was her year to find the baby!

Headbands

On Monday Mamie and I had some time together to do a craft.  She chose to make these reversible headbands.  I thought this would be a good beginner sewing project, but there were several steps that were too advanced.  She still had fun picking out the fabric and helping with some of the steps.  We had a fun time, and I thought they turned out really cute!  (We ended up making one for Margaret too, since the first one we made Mamie was too small.)

Mamie's 11th Birthday Party

We had Mamie's birthday party on Saturday at the skating rink.  She loves music and thought this would be a fun way to celebrate with her friends.  It was a very challenging place to take pictures, but here is what I got!
