Back to School 2012

I am going to be playing catch-up on my blog for the next few weeks.   We are finally starting to get settled in.  The kids started school several weeks ago, and we are getting back into our school routine.  Here are some pictures that I took on their first days.  They all started on different days, but it was cloudy or rainy on each day!

Griffin is in 2nd grade this year. He has the same teacher and classmates that he had last year. That has made for such a smooth and easy transition. He has been very excited to get back to see all of his friends and his teacher.



Mamie started school the week after Griffin, and she is in 5th grade this year. I still remember walking her to her 1st grade classroom. Time has flown! She is excited to be in the oldest grade in her school this year. She is in class with one of her best friends again this year, and we are so thankful for that!



Margaret started the week after Mamie, and she is in Kindergarten! She is loving every second of it. When I dropped her off the first day, she was definitely nervous. She has quickly warmed up to it though. She has several friends in her class, and is having such a good time. She has started having a little bit of homework three nights a week, and that has made her feel so "big."

Back to School

Well, everyone is back in school now!  The school routine is in full swing.  Griffin started 1st grade on August 1st.  I can't believe he is old enough to be a first grader!  He is loving school so far, and starting to make some new friends.  His teacher is Mrs. Arnold.  He loves recess, PE and music.

Mamie started school the following week on August 8th.  She is in the 4th grade, and she was so excited to find out that she is in class with her best friend, Anne Wilkes.  They will change classes for the first time this year, and her homeroom teacher is Ms. Smith who teaches science and social studies.  So far things are going great, and she loves her teacher.

Margaret took her to school with me.

Margaret started school this Monday.  She was so anxious to start since Mamie and Griffin were already back in school.  She is just going to Parents' Day Out two days a week.  She is excited to be in class with her best buddies Miller and Parker.  Her teachers are Mrs. Tina and Mrs. Nell.  She loves playing on the playground, and even took a nap (which she doesn't do at home anymore)!
