Throughout the summer we did our second annual Around The World dinners. This year we had food and presentations from Japan, India and England. (I apologize in advance for the quality of these pictures. I never learned how to take pictures in the kitchen at the house on Avon. Everything looks gray...)
For Japan, I made edamame and rice and ordered sushi and miso soup from our favorite sushi restaurant, Sekisui.
Mamie and Griffin did a presentation on Japan,
and Griffin made an earthquake out of legos, because "they have a lot of earthquakes in Japan."
Margaret then showed us some of her best karate moves.
For India, I made chicken curry, rice, Naan bread and curried cauliflower.
The kids did another presentation,
and Griffin made a lego river (I think it was the Indus river) with mountains around it.
For England, I made fish and chips and we had shortbread and tea for dessert.
The girls did another presentation,
and Griffin made a scene of lego men playing cricket.
I absolutely love this post and the pictures! What a fun summer!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea! I love that there are presentations and 3-D renderings.
