Thanksgiving 2011

Hello everyone!  I hope that you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving holidays!  This year we went to Jackson, MS to celebrate Thanksgiving with my family.  My grandparents drove over from Texas to visit, and it was such a fun time of hanging out with my family.  Thanksgiving has always been one of my favorite holidays.  I have so many things to be thankful for...Jesus, my wonderful husband, 3 sweet healthy kids, my family, food, a warm home, and so many other things.

On a side note, we usually go to see a movie when we vist, and on Wednesday we went to see the new Muppet movie.  We all loved it!  It was hilarious, and it was totally written for those of us who grew up when the muppets were on tv.

Here are a ton of pictures of our Thanksgiving visit!  If you are interested (mom), there are even more pictures on my flickr photostream.

More football...

It's really fair that the smallest player was blocking the largest player...

She did hold her own though! (until she got injured)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello and Happy Thanksgiving to you all!  I hope that you are enjoying time with family and friends, parades and yummy turkey.
Margaret has had so much fun learning about Indians, Pilgrims and Thanksgiving at school.
We made these crayon and wax paper leaves the other day. Here is the tutorial if you are interested. They turned out really pretty.
Griffin's class made turkey hats at school on Tuesday. This is what Griffin's looked like. I asked him if they were supposed to dress the turkey or make it a character or something. He said that they weren't, but he felt like making his an "Office Turkey" and dressing him up for a day at work.  All righty!  I am sure the teacher thought that was a little odd.

Dancing Machine

This past week was our nephew's birthday, and he requested a video of Griffin dancing.  I thought y'all might like to see it too.  I don't know where he has learned these moves!

Spa Day

This weekend Mamie opened a spa and beauty salon in our house.  She had been planning it all week long.  She gave massages and painted fingernails.  She had classical music playing on her cd player.  She loves having Margaret to play along with her.

The list of their spa services:

The weather was great on Saturday, so we also went to the zoo and to the Dixon art museum.
