Project 52 - Green
The Project 52 theme for this week is Green. This weekend we took the kids to play miniature golf, so these are my "green" pictures. Playing golf brought back so many memories from when Richie and I were kids because we used to play when we went on vacation to the beach. The kids had such a good time!
Hole in one for Griffin!
Hole in one for Mamie!
Margaret had the hardest time remembering how to hold the putter.
Rockin' out to the 80's tunes.
Mamie loved keeping score.
This is how Griffin entertained himself while he was waiting for his next turn.
Another hole in one for Mamie!

Sewing Week
I am participating in this kids' clothes sewing challenge this week.
I thought it would help keep me motivated to actually complete some things I have been wanting to make for the girls this Spring. It's a great idea and very "do-able"...sew for just one hour every day for a week. It's not too late to participate if you need some inspiration!

Project 52 - Things That Grow
This week's theme for Project 52 is Things That Grow. Since nothing is blooming in our yard, Margaret and I took a trip to the Dixon gardens to see what we could find. One of my favorites, the hydrangeas, were in full bloom!
My sweet companion.
We made it our mission to find as many frogs as we could...we found 12!

Art Show
Mamie and Griffin have been taking art lessons for two years at the Dixon Gallery and Gardens. Mamie really loves art and drawing. Griffin loves the class too, but he is most excited about the snacks! They recently had a children's art exhibit at the museum, and the kids each had a piece of art in the show. They did mixed media pieces, and their theme was bugs. Mamie's is a caterpillar, and I think Griffin's is a little more "abstract."

Project 52 - Sacrifice
The theme for this week 15's Project 52 is Sacrifice. (These aren't the best pictures, but I wanted to remember these sweet pictures about Christ's sacrifice that the kids made this Easter.)
But he was pierced for our transgressions;
he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
and with his wounds we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned—every one—to his own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.
First we have Palm Sunday sermon notes from Griffin (complete with 1st grade spelling).

Easter 2012
Then we had a huge lunch and attempted to work some of it off with a family baseball game and/or Easter egg hunt afterwards.
