Griffin's grade is doing reports on different decades. His class is doing the 1990's. Griffin chose to do a sports report, and he chose Wayne Gretzky out of all the sports heroes of the 90's (so random). He also chose to do a video broadcast instead of writing a report (he is just like Richie). Here is his video. This one is dedicated to you and your dream, Uncle David! I know y'all are all SO impressed by how high quality this video is...

School Projects
Mamie and Griffin both have projects due for the "Think Show" at school this week. Mamie's grade's project was to choose a charity in the city to research and write a report on. She chose to do her project on St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. They also had to make something that would advertise or raise support or awareness for their charity. She had just taken sewing lessons, so she wanted to sew something. She sewed a simple tote bag using her Hello Kitty sewing machine and put the St. Jude logo on the front. It turned out really cute, and we had a lot of fun working on it together.

Daddy's HOME!
Richie went on a trip to Israel for 10 days, and he got home on Sunday. We missed him so much, and we were so excited to see him when he got back! The kids wanted to have a celebration to welcome him, so they made posters....
And Mamie made a heart-shaped cookie cake using this cute cookbook that she got for Christmas from her Nana.
Then they waited...and waited....and waited...
When he finally got here they screamed and ran to hug him. It was a great welcoming home!
Bro brought the kids these souvenirs.
Richie brought each of us a special souvenir too. He brought me a nativity made out of olive tree wood.
He brought Mamie a cup to remind her of God's love poured our for her and to remind her to share his love with others.
He brought Griffin a slingshot to remind him of the story of David and Goliath, and to remind him that he can do all things through Christ's strength.
He brought Margaret a pink cross charm for a necklace. (Pink because she loves pink and it's fancy.) It's to remind her of the joy of her salvation.
We are so glad that daddy is home! I will post some of Richie's pictures from their trip later on this week.

King Cake Breakfast
Since it's Fat Tuesday, I made this for breakfast...
One can of these, plus purple, green and yellow sprinkles. Griffin found the baby this year! Mamie found it last year, so Margaret is certain that next year is her year!

Simon Says
It was really cold here last week, and the kids were getting cabin fever. (Mamie was playing at a friend's house.) So, we bundled up and played a very active game of Simon Says. Simon had them running across the yard, skipping to trees, doing jumping jacks, etc... Then we rode scooters around the block. We only made it for about 20-30 minutes, but it was better than nothing!

Project 52 - True Love
I am jumping in a few weeks late to Project 52 with My 3 Boybarians. I had hoped to do a Project 365, but I failed at that after about two weeks. So now I am going for the once a week photo...much more "do-able." Maybe next year! The theme for this week was "True Love." I have already posted this picture, but I am reposting it for the project.
