Easter Eve at the Levitt Shell

We had a wonderful Easter this year.  We started out by celebrating Easter Eve with a concert by Drew and Ellie Holcomb that was hosted by our church at the Levitt Shell.  It has become our annual event the night before Easter.  We took a picnic and enjoyed the beautiful music, perfect weather, and wonderful friends.

April: 10 on 10

The spring sure is flying by!  Here is April's 10 on 10.  This was a pretty typical Tuesday in our life.

Bunny Run

Mamie and Griffin have been training for a 5K this spring, and on Saturday they ran in the Bunny Run 5K.  We were so proud of them!  Our goal was to finish without walking, and they both did!


I ran with Griffin.

Richie and Mamie ran together.

And Doc and Lee Lee walked with Margaret.

It was such a fun and memorable morning!  Griffin told us when he finished running that he is thinking he might want to do the St. Jude 1/2 marathon this winter...that's quite a leap from his first 5K!

Project 52 - Foolin' Around

This week's Project 52 theme is Foolin' Around. We didn't do any pranks for April fools, but we did have fun "foolin' around' while dying some Easter eggs this week. I've always loved dying eggs! Margaret and Mamie were very disappointed that our pink dye didn't work.


I also made the kids this Easter lunch this week for school (a bunny-shaped PBJ, Annie's cheddar bunnies, baby carrots, and cheese).  Griffin thought his bunny was a tooth!  Oh well, I tried...next time I guess I should add some eyes.

Go Daddy!

There was a 5K race in our neighborhood over the weekend, so Richie and Rob decided to run it.  The kids had so much fun cheering them on, and giving high fives to the runners.
