We had a wonderful Easter this year celebrating the resurrection of our Savior. It started off with Margaret's Easter party at school and a Maundy Thursday service at our church.
On Friday the kids were out of school, so we did a couple of activities. We dyed Easter eggs.
And then we made jelly bean bark.
On Friday night, we went to hear Mamie's 5th grade choir from school sing the national anthem at the Memphis Grizzlies game. (Unfortunately security wouldn't let me bring my camera in, so I don't have any pictures.) Saturday night we went to hear Andrew Peterson sing at the IPC Easter Eve concert/picnic. Sunday morning, we woke up bright and early and went to church after the kids went through their Easter baskets. The weather wasn't good that morning, so I wasn't able to take many pictures. (My parents and brother were in town, and I don't have any pictures of them!)
On Sunday afternoon the weather cleared up, and the kids went to an Easter egg hunt at our next door neighbors house. Griffin found the gold prize egg!
Happy Easter! Thankful for your joy-filled celebrations!
ReplyDeleteWish I had known about the jelly bean bark. Actually it's probabmiy a good thing I didn't know about it. Love the pic of Margaret as a waitress. Looks like a wonderful weekend!
